Market Square, Dundalk

Description: This project consists of the redevelopment and urban renewal of the Market Square area of Dundalk. The works involve road realignment, public lighting and large quantities of decorative granite paving. traffic diversions will be put in place and the project is to be completed in phases, with access though Market Square maintained for the full duration.

Mulhuddart Bridge Replacement
Client: Fingal County Council
Value: €1,350,000
Commencement: March 2011
Projected Completion: January 2012
Description: This project consists of the construction of a new bridge over the river in Mulhuddart. There are substantial works to be carried out initially in the river to construct the in-situ concrete abutments. There are also substantial drainage works to be carried out, including large reinforced concrete chambers and a river crossing.
The project is substantially complete and due to be handed over to the Client in January 2012
River Barrow Abstraction Scheme: Ardscull Pipelines
Client: Kildare County Council
Value: €5,500,000
Commencement: January 2012
Projected Completion: September 2012
Description: This project consists of the installation of 14km of ductile iron pipe lines (400mm - 700m diameter). There are substantial concrete works with 11 major chambers required on the route. The pipelines will cross under the River Liffey, The Grand Canal and the Cork-Dublin Railway line. The two main chambers (either side of the railway line) are 20m x 10m x 7m.
JCL will be carrying out the works primarily using our own staff and will have all areas working concurrently We are currently on site and have commenced construction of the chambers. Ductile iron pipes are due to be delivered at the end of February.
Cork City Quay Walls
Client: Cork City Council
Value: €1,000,000
Commencement: January 2012
Projected Completion: June 2012
Description: This extremely technical project consists of strengthening and rebuilding of quay walls in five locations along in the River Lee in Cork city centre. The walls were damaged as a result of flooding.
Specialist subcontractors will be required for the duration of the works and JCL will be required to work primarily in the river with sheet piling installed at a number of locations. Due to the locations invovled access is limited to each locations
Slane Bridge Refurbishment
Client: Meath County Council
Value: €200,000
Commencement: November 2011
Projected Completion: February 2012
Description: This project invovles the refurbishment and strengthening of Slane Bridge in Co. Meath. This bridge is listed as a national monument and requires us to work closely with conservation architects. All materials used on the bridge have to be carefully sourced and approved.
Specialist subcontractors will be required for the duration of the works and JCL will be required to work primarily in the river - progress on the project is dependent on the status of the river
