Sillogue Water Storage Facility

Description: This contract included the construction of a 30ML Reservoir and large pumping station facility, installation of 2km of large diameter ductile iron pipes and the construction of a 40m high Water Tower, adjacent to the M50 in Dublin.
JCL carried out all civil works directly and also fulfilled the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage. The project won the Irish Concrete Society Award in 2007 and also won an award at the European Concrete Network Awards in 2008.
Ardscull Reservoir & Pipelines

Description: JCL took on the role of Main Contractor and constructed a 7.5ML concrete reservoir, pumping facilities and installed over 6km of ductile iron pipelines, across both greenfield and roads.
The works also included substantial subcontracts which JCL managed with a particularly large M&E element. There were also substantial site services.
N2 Branch Sewer & Pumping Station

Description: This technically challenging project was carried out in a number of locations in Finglas. Over 3 km of pipelines of varying radii were laid in depths of up to 5m. A large underground pumping station was installed adjacent to the N2, in a difficult location with a large number of overhead power lines, which severly restricted access.
A subcontractor also carried out a large pipejacking operation under the M50. JCL also fulfilled the role of PSCS on this project.
Limerick Main Drainage

Completion Date: December 2002
Description: This project was Contract 3.3 of the Limerick Main Drainage Scheme, and was the largest contract JCL had undertaken at the time. 1500m of open cut large diameter pipework were installed along with a 1200m tunnellling operation at depths of 6-8m, which was carried out by a subcontractor.
JCL also constructed a Pumping Station in a difficult location, 10m below ground. JCL carried out the role of PSCS and completed the projected on schedule
Sallins Flood Relief Works

Completion: April 2010
Description: JCL were asked by Kildare County Council to carry out this project following flooding in Sallins. The works consist of the removal of an existing culvert and replacement with a larger pre-cast concrete box culvert. It was a difficult location requiring damming of the river and substantial earthworks and concrete works.
