Management Systems
Quality Management
JCL formalised the company Quality Management System in 2009. By taking a novel and innovative approach to construction quality management JCL developed a system that is efficient, adds value and best serves the interests of both our clients and all JCL staff. We were awarded ISO 9001: 2008 accreditation in November 2009.
The quality management system is applied on all projects that the company undertakes and is managed by our Quality Manager, who undertakes internal audits of all sites and all sectors of the business. Our external auditors are NSAI.
JCL have recently undergone the annual audit of our system which passed without any major issues or concerns being raised.
Health & Safety Management
JCL has a long standing reputation for excellence with regard to Health and Safety. JCL were initially awarded the Safe-T-Cert in March 2008 and were upgraded during the second audit of the system in March 2009. We invest heavily in this area, with all Engineering staff trained in the IOSH approved "Managing Safely in Construction"and Occupational First Aid. All site staff have FAS Safepass, Iarnrod Eireann PTS, and Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Confined Spaces and Safety Harness Training, as a minimum.
JCL have been upgraded to A status at our latest audit. This puts JCL in the top 10% of Safe-T-Cert accredited companies in the country.
IT Systems
JCL completed a major overhaul of all IT Systems in 2009. All contracts are now operated through JCLNet, a customised version of Microsoft Sharepoint. All documents from every site are stored on this secure site, and all staff have received training in its use. All supervisory staff are supplied with laptops, printer/scanners and high speed broadband connections to enable the system to be used to its full capability
